Band on band: DANIEL
Daniel began as a solo, acoustic, pop-punk project by Nathan Vitale. My first EP, Too Far Too Gone (Which can be downloaded here for no cost) featured four songs compromised solely of me singing and playing acoustic guitar. I draw heavy influence from classic pop punk such as Green Day, Blink 182, Sum 41, as well as other bands like The Front Bottoms and Snowing. Daniel is typically upbeat instrumentality, but I cover topics such as substance abuse, depression, and anxiety through my lyrics. Daniel balances dumb pop-punk fun and silliness with serious subject matter. Daniel is now a four piece band, comprised of myself on acoustic guitar and lead vocals, Graham Nasson on drums, Liam McDonough on bass, and Andrew Felknor on electric guitar. Our first LP, Withdrawn, will be releasing sometime this fall.
I will be playing a stripped down acoustic set on my own at the Tavern at the End of the World on Tuesday, October 4th. I will be playing all of Too Far, Too Gone, as well as many of the songs off of Withdrawn. I’ll be playing along with Kat Kennedy, LightDivides, Dann Russo, and For Nelson, and it’s all for free.
